Squid - Fresh, Regular, Wild, USA (2lbs)
Squid are fleshy, soft and cigar shaped with eight tentacles and two fins on either side. Like Cuttlefish, you’ll find them chewy in texture and mildly sweet in flavor.
Region & Fishery
Squid can range from 1 inch to the seldom seen, and rumored, 100 foot monsters of the Atlantic Ocean!
Cut the Squid tubes into rings and fry them, along with the tentacles, coated with a light batter. Or quickly sauté them with lots of onions and black pepper. You may also stuff the whole tubes and braise them in a white wine sauce. Keep cooking time brief.
Squid are a nutritious seafood, noted as a rich source of proteins, Omega-3, B Vitamins and mineral minerals such as Copper, Zinc and Iodine.
