Rainbow Trout are shaped like salmon, with a beautiful multi-hued coloration. These fresh water fish have a soft, flaky meat with delicate, nutty flavor that is somewhat similar to Salmon, but much milder.

Pan fry or stuff and bake whole Rainbow Trout with butter and mild herbs and seasonings. You may also bake, broil, poach or sauté the fillets, again with simple seasonings and butter.
In addition to being a great provider of protein, Rainbow Trout is also an excellent source of Niacin, Vitamin B-12, Vitamin B-6, Vitamin D and a good source of Phosphorous, Selenium and Vitamin A.
