Not a true Pike, the freshwater Walleye Pike has a long, tapering brown and yellow body. It is highly regarded for its sweet, mild flavor with a fine flake that’s similar to Bass and Yellow Perch.

Bake, broil, steam, poach, pan fry or grill Walleye Pike with a variety of seasonings and herbs, such as dill, marjoram, and tarragon. It is delicate, though, so keep sauces light and bright.
Walleye is a good source of Magnesium and Potassium, and a very good source of protein, Vitamin B12, Phosphorus and Selenium.
