Fishermen traditionally mark the Soft Shell Blue Crab season with the first full moon in May. So if it feels like summer, it’s time to enjoy them!
Dip them in flour, egg and panko bread crumbs, and pan fry them till crisp. Then pile on a bun with lots of cole slaw and go to town! You can also sauté them francese style, and serve over pasta.
Crab is a good source of Vitamin C, Riboflavin, Niacin, Iron, Magnesium and Phosphorus, and a very good source of protein, Vitamin B12, Zinc, Copper and Selenium.
